Dr. Paul D. Seemuth, FRSC
Dr. Paul Seemuth is an PhD organic chemist and CEO of Tribology Consulting International LLC. Paul is a graduate of Bowling Green State University (BS), Purdue (MS) and University of Cincinnati (PhD). Paul has work in various organizations; Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals, Ethyl Corporation and finally twenty years of service with E. I DuPont de Nemours and Co. Inc. In 2004, Paul started his consulting firm, advising clients in all aspects of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, including plant design concepts, and Business / Marketing prospective on the Chemical Industry. Paul is certified in Six Sigma methodology for analysis for cost and process control improvements.A Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), he is a recognized world expert in the field of Tribology, the study of friction and wear. Paul has over thirty publications and 15 + patents covering scientific endeavors on automotive additives and lubricants, formulations of fiber finishes, polymer production processes, heterogeneous catalysts and supercritical fluid applications. Recently, he completed a major chapter on Textile Fibers / Fabrics published in the Handbook of Lubrication and Tribology, Volume I Application and Maintenance, Second Edition. Dr. Seemuth regularly lectures internationally on scientific topics related to lubrication and surface science.
